History

Our History

While innovation in the FPS genre has been slowly moving towards stagnation with cookie-cutter gameplay and drab visual styles, Epsilon Studios is breaking down those barriers with Farrah Rogue - Zero Hour. The industry's current mindset has been set toward creating safe games with redundant gameplay, so our band of developers came together to challenge that mentality. Our team is comprised of game artists, programmers, and FPS enthusiasts from various parts of the Bay Area with a single goal in mind: to introduce new ideas and innovation and shift the current FPS paradigm.

Mission

Farrah Rogue - Zero Hour is an experimental first-person shooter from Epsilon Studios that recreates the chaos and mayhem of those classic couch-multiplayer games we know and love. The game brings FPS players back to the couch and features interactive levels, unpredictable and strategic weapons, and dynamic in-game customization. Visually, Farrah Rogue marries the classic space-opera aesthetic with colorful, hand-drawn illustrations. Instead of generic levels and run-of-the-mill gameplay, Farrah Rogue explores the possibilities of what the FPS genre can be. We aim to challenge the way that FPS games should be experienced and enjoyed.

Gameplay

Farrah Rogue encapsulates gameplay as a fluid, strategically changing experience throughout each match. Upon death or respawn, players can select and re-select weapons and abilities in various combinations in order to adjust to the shifting tide of battle. Each player can assess the strengths and weaknesses of each weapon as well as adjust strategies to counter an opponent's selections. Alongside weapons, players choose from an assortment of abilities that augment your strategy by improving your maneuverability, trapping your enemies, or otherwise providing various useful tactics.
